How far is the Baltimore Airport from Washington DC

How far is the Baltimore Airport from Washington DC?
Im going to visit my friend in DC soon and she said to try to book the flight to Reagan Airport , and to try to avoid Dulles and Baltimore, but if its a better deal to go for them. Well, Its sooo much cheaper to fly to Baltimore, but how would I get to DC? Is it relatively close? Also, how much will it cost to get there? Do they have shuttles? Should I just spend the $30 extra bucks to fly to Reagan or go with Baltimore?

BWI is about an hour away from DC by car, more if there is traffic. Using MARC or the metro bus shuttle would take at least 1.5 hrs. If the difference in price is only $30, I'd fly to DCA instead. It's so much easier.

I would spend the extra 30 dollars as you will probally end up spending the same getting from BWI to Downtown DC,here is all the info though The airport is approximately 8 miles south of Baltimore, Maryland and 35 miles north of Washington, D.C. Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority Metro now offers BWI Express Metro bus service between BWI and the Greenbelt metro station. The service provides a direct connection between BWI and the Greenbelt Metro Station. The BWI Express/B30 service runs every 40 minutes, 7 days a week to the Greenbelt Metro Station, which is located on the Green Line of the Washington Metro System. Buses run 25 times each weekday and 21 times on Saturdays and Sunday, every 40 minutes. For more information call 202-637-7000 or go to www.wmata.com Catch the BWI Express from BWI Airport. There are two WMATA Bus Stops. One is located on the lower level of the International Concourse and the other stop is located on the lower level of Concourse A/B. The B30 will pick you up outside at the bus shelter. Follow the signs that say “Public Transit.” The Greenbelt Metro Station connects to Metro Stations throughout Washington, DC, Virginia, Montgomery and Prince Georges Counties. A route map and schedule is available now on Metro's website, www.wmata.com. In addition to the train service, there is frequent airport shuttle service to downtown Washington, D.C. and the surrounding areas. SuperShuttle (service to/from the City and County of Baltimore, and Hunt Valley) (800) 258-3826 SuperShuttle (service to/from Prince Georges and Montgomery Counties Maryland, and to the K Street Terminal (1517 K Street) in the District of Columbia) (800) 258-3826 Airport Shuttle (Howard County, Columbia) (800) 776-0323 Light Rail (410) 539-5000 Metro Subway Information (202) 637-7000 BWI Rail Station (410) 672-6169 AMTRAK (800) USA-RAIL MARC Train (866) RIDE-MTA Best of luck!

What is the cheapest way to get to and from Baltimore to JFK airport

What is the cheapest way to get to and from Baltimore to JFK airport?
I am in Baltimore and meeting up with a friend to go fly out of JFK airport. My flight leaves at 1030 am from JFK and I am returning to JFK at 12:45 am and need to know the best way to get to JFK by 9 am and the best way to get back to Baltimore when I return to JFK at 12:45 am. Both flights are on weekdays.

F-16 fighter jet, son.

you need to arrive the night before unless you are planning on a connecting flight on the way in to New York.the last greyhound leaves Baltimore at 1020 and arrives 210 am On the way back there is a 345am greyhound bus from port authority for $10.00. If your plane is on time you should be able to get there by subway with time to spare.

If it were me, I would go up the night before and stay at one of the hotels near the airport that has a shuttle to the terminals. But if you want cheap, Megabus has a bus from Baltimore to NY that leaves at 12:55 AM and arrives at 4:40 AM. In NY the bus drops you at 7th Ave and 28th St. Although there is a subway station right there, I'd suggest walking to 8th Ave and 23rd St where you can catch the E train. Get a Metrocard for $14.50 (2x $2.25 subway fare, 2x $5 airport fare) and take the uptown/Queens E train. Stay on it for about 40 mins to the Sutphin Blvd/Jamaica station and take the Airtrain to your terminal. The subway and airtrain run all night. Going the other way, Megabus doesn't have a very convenient bus, but there's a $12 Greyhound at 3:45 AM at the Port Authority Bus terminal. Return the same way, but get off the E train at the bus terminal. Buy both bus tickets early online to get the best price, which can be as low as $1 on Megabus.

The MARC train from Union Station. Here's a link: http://www.mtamaryland.com/services/marc/
2 :
It's not faster, but I believe if you take the metrobus express from BWI to Greenbelt it should cost less than Amtrak.

Unaccompanied Minor on Southwest Airlines

Unaccompanied Minor on Southwest Airlines?
My twin brother and I are 13 years old. We are supposed to be driving up to Providence in the beginning of August and due to fly back alone. We will be taking Southwest Airlines from either Boston Logan on the inaugural flight to Baltimore, or from Providence to Baltimore. Are we considered unaccompanied minors, or are we adults. My mom can walk us to the gate since she has a federal badge.

i think you can fly by yourself i think i flied alone when was 13...or was i 14..
2 :
Southwest allows kids 12 and over to fly alone without supervision...so you will not be unaccompanied minors and will not have airline employee supervision...unless your Mom asks for that service and pays the fee.
3 :
Yeah I am not sure about southwest airlines but I know airtran lets you fly alone at 12 but american made me pay even though my mom walked me to the gate and it was a direct flight (I know, stupid american airlines). To find out you can go on southwest.com or call the airline. On the website it says children 11 and older can fly alone... here http://www.southwest.com/travel_center/children.html
4 :
Yall would be adults Just read this: http://www.southwest.com/travel_center/childtip.html
5 :
No matter how you look at it you are considered a minor, both you and your brother. 18 is when you are considered an adult.
6 :
It could have been easier.
