12 year old flying alone!?!?!?
Ok well, in July I'm flying to Baltimore (direct flight) from New Orleans. I'm kinda scared because this is the first time I'm flying alone but I have flown with my parents before, just not to Baltimore. But I have my I.D. and birth certificate and all that crap but will they make me sit in a certain area and watch me the whole time. And do they have a thing where I can plug my charger in for my Laptop and phone and that kinda stuff. & if it helps to know: I'm flying with Southwest to the BWI airport from the Louis Armstrong Airport in New Orleans and my mom is getting a pass where she can walk me into/ through the gate. & I really am kinda scared and worried. Please help me.

You'll be fine. The flight attendants are there to help you with anything you need. I have seen them helping with minors traveling alone before. They don't act like mean school teachers. They are friendly and helpful. Some airlines have special connections for charging laptops, but they are usually only available in first class. I hope this helps. Enjoy your flight. Safe travels.

No you can't plug in your laptop or phone on the plane. you could plug it in at the airport, plus you won't be using your phone on the plane unless it's in airplane mode so no calling or texting your BFFs. Since you've been to on flights before there's nothing to worry about because nothing happens on the flight.

The other answers are correct and you don't need to be scared. Once you are through security go to the gate for your flight. Look around for electrical outlets to which you can safely run your power supply cord. There are always outlets because the cleaning staff needs them for machines like vacuum cleaners, but they may be hard to find/they may fit non-sandard plugs. Some airports de-activate the outlets except when the cleaners are actually using them. Ask a Southwest or airport employee for advice if you have probelms finding a good power outlet. Southwest Airlines uses concourses A and B at Baltimore's airport. There are many cafes/restaurants and you may be able to charge you electronics at one of them (buy something to drink as they may only let paying customers sit in the cafe/restaurant). http://www.bwiairport.com/en/shops/shop-dine Southwest does not appear to offer power ports on any of their aircraft, but the flight from BWI to MSY is only about 3 hours. http://www.seatguru.com/airlines/Southwest_Airlines/information.php
