Best flight for first time flyers

Best flight for first time flyers?
My family and I will be traveling from Baltimore to Florida. What is the best 'flight' for first time flyers in you're opinion? Thanks

In my experience the coolest aircraft is Virgin Airlines or Jet Blue. They both have individual lcd tv for each passenger built right into the seat and the interior is also way cool. Enjoy your flight :)

I don't really understand your question; what do you mean the best 'flight'?? Are you talking about the best airline, or what? It doesn't really matter, flying is pretty much the same no matter what airline you use, just the price and amenities offered are different. I would recommend a nonstop flight if you can find one, less hassle for someone who's inexperienced with flying.

agreed with the above answer!

Pineapple Express Grandma's Boy Superbad No Country For Old Men (not a comedy, but super good) Monty Python and the Holy Grail (brittish humor, low budget, but very good) Role Models Napoleon Dynamite Beerfest Any TV episode of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia Any TV episode of South Park Yes Man (is this out on DVD yet?) Hope this list helps you!

depends on the aircraft and airline...some airlines have WiFi on certain aircrafts....bring a laptop if you have one...bring head phones so you can watch movies and so on

Right now, it isn't going to happen -- the prices that are showing up (in the $900-$1000 range) are reflective of the cheapest available fares from the eastern US to Germany for that time frame. That doesn't mean that the prices won't drop -- airlines often put winter fares to Europe on sale at some point during the late summer or early fall, but keep in mind that because you're wanting to travel over the Christmas/New Year's holiday period, airlines may not have as much incentive to offer sales for those dates, because of the extra demand that occurs. At what point you decide to purchase your tickets, you might wish to try, in addition to being flexible on dates, to be flexible on airports -- it may be cheaper to fly into another airport, such as Berlin or Dusseldorf, and then take the train from there on Hamburg. You can also try being flexible with your airports in the US -- Air Berlin, for example, offers relatively inexpensive flights from the US to Germany, but their closest airport to you is JFK in New York. Though they haven't published their schedules yet for December, it may be worth checking with them to see whether it's cheaper to take Amtrak up to New York and then fly with them to Hamburg for your dates.

Does anyone know of a direct flight between Dublin or Belfast and the D.C. area

Does anyone know of a direct flight between Dublin or Belfast and the D.C. area?
Aer Lingus has stopped their Dublin-Dulles flight. Trying to fly my boyfriend in for the Thanksgiving or Christmas holiday, but due to school it needs to be to the DC area. Reagan, Baltimore, Dulles are all fine.

No airlines offer a direct flight.
2 :
None. You will need to fly via New York or Philadelphia. http://www.flyglasgow.net http://www.continental.com http://www.usairways.com
3 :
Can only see Dublin-Heathrow-Dulles with British Midland
4 :
no, but you can still find quick layovers for really great prices. there are quite a few sites that you can search that will likely give you the best prices available. check out the website BookMe and you will be able to compare prices on all the reputable travel sites in just a couple minutes. it's very convenient and will save you a bunch of time and money. Also, make sure you buy them online... otherwise they charge much higher fees for phone orders. good luck.
5 :
You can book through the Jetblue Airways or Aer Lingus site as they are code-share partners. Jetblue flys from D.C. to NYC and Aer Lingus flys to Dublin from NYC. Hope it helps.

sorry no direct flights. you may check with united airlines though they have a hub in IAD

Travelling to/from Baltimore and Washington DC

Travelling to/from Baltimore and Washington DC?
I am looking to travel from Balitmore Int'l Airport on Feb 22, which is a Thursday, to Washington DC and back to Baltimore again on Feb 25, which is a Sunday. I will be landing at BWI at around 10 30 pm and hence will be looking to catch either a bus or a train to DC at around 11pm on Thursday evening. Then I need to get back to BWI from DC on Sunday at around 6 30 am to catch the 7 55 am flight. So what is the best way and the cheapest (safe) to travel to and from Baltimore and Washington DC? Looking to find out the time required and the fares. Taking a cab is somewhat too expensive for me. Thanks. How much would the cab fare from BWI to DC be?

Boy, you picked some dicey flights. There is a train station for BWI airport served by both MARC (local train system) and Amtrak. The Amtrak is much more expensive. Unfortunately you will be arriving after the last MARC train and MARC does not run on Sunday. If your plane arrives on time there is an Amtrak at about 11:45 and another about an hour later. That's it 'til the morn. For Sunday morning there are also 2 Amtrak trains from Washington that (if on time) will get you to BWI early enough. I have no idea about the busses but I suspect you may be arriving too late Thursday and leaving too early Sunday. If you can get your tickets changed without penalty to Reagan Airport you should.

Unfortunately the poster before me is right. There are trains that stop at the BWI airport and go to Union Station in D.C. but they don't run all that frequently. MARC (the commuter rail trains) run pretty infrequently and not at all on Sundays. Amtrak is a little more but they run more frequently. I think it's about $10-15 each way but it's cheaper than a taxi. There is ground transportation information at the airport's website www.bwiairport.com
