Dramamine. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dimenhydrinate

try not to eat anything or drink anything before the flight then you can't be sick.
3 :
Take some Dramamine a few hours before the flight and then depending on how long the flight mid way though. Its made for motion sickness.
4 :
DOn't go on an airplane, and then your problems will be solved.

Is it safe for a 8 week old puppy to take a 8 hour flight with a lay over

Is it safe for a 8 week old puppy to take a 8 hour flight with a lay over?
We are getting our puppy flown up from Birmingham to Houston and Houston to Baltimore BWI. Is it safe will she be okay? She lives closer to Birmingham then atlanta, and she is coming in on Contental. The breeder has been very good in reassuring us and she has done this many times and gave us very detailed instructions what to do. But we have no choice beacuse the long car trip would be worse for her. Isnt it better is she is young?

Why aren't they going through Atlanta? What airline? I can't believe they're sending it west to go north..... We shipped a pup from FL to Seattle, WA, was a 7 1/2 hr flight. Pup did mess in the crate, but physically she was fine.
3 :
It's not the greatest option but thousands of animals travel this way. If at all possible have her carried on board. And try to avoid the transfer if you can. One positive, since she is so young chances are she will sleep most of the trip, which is for the best.

I would never fly a dog or puppy. I have heard numerous stories of terrible things that have/can happen. The airlines are not required to keep statistics on these things either. http://www.canoe.ca/NewsStand/WinnipegSun/News/2004/02/04/335084.html http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/traveloutdoors/2002367616_webpetsonplanes08.html?syndication=rss http://www.msu.edu/~silvar/airplane.htm Read these and I think you will change your mind.

my mom has had passengers and they're puppies that young ride on her plain. they get scared easily though.
6 :
No its not safe at all. Chances are that the pup would not survive
7 :
she will be if you trained it properly
8 :
NO!!

Well, I had a puppy shipped in. She flew all night and I pic ked her up earlyin the morning. She was fine. She had food/water and the cargo staff were very professional and kind. She went from Kansas to Arizona...and she was 10 weeks old (maltese)

No one can tell you for sure if the puppy will be okay or not, but layovers are not the best for a puppy less than 12 weeks old. I don't know any reputable breeder that ships dogs @ 2 months. I would say 3 months minimum with no layover. http://www.continental.com/web/en-US/content/travel/animals/puppies.aspx?SID=0FA4B9A5211A43C5942E10B0C1708529 http://www.continental.com/web/en-US/content/travel/animals/default.aspx?SID=0FA4B9A5211A43C5942E10B0C1708529 http://www.continental.com/web/en-US/content/travel/animals/restrictions.aspx?SID=0FA4B9A5211A43C5942E10B0C1708529 http://www.continental.com/web/en-US/content/travel/animals/iah_kennel.aspx?SID=0FA4B9A5211A43C5942E10B0C1708529 Upon researching the Continental website they states: Continental operates the only on-airport kennel managed by an airline in the United States at its Houston Bush Intercontinental cargo facility. The kennel provides 1,100 square feet of space for runs and exercise pens. It also provides the ability to contain separate species in separate rooms. With this facility, Continental can provide grooming, on-site servicing (or day kenneling) and overnight kenneling. You can book these services at the time you book your animal with our PetSafe desk. Fees will be collected at the time you tender your pet. Fees for our Kenneling and services are: On site servicing (8 hours or less): Fee for the first animal $75.00 USD additional animals (on the same Air Waybill) $25.00 USD Overnight Kenneling: Fee for the first animal (for the first night) $100.00 USD Fee for additional animals (on the same Air Waybill) $50.00 USD Additional nights for all animals $ 15.00 USD Grooming Services Available upon request - call for a quote http://www.continental.com/web/en-US/content/travel/animals/iah_kennel.aspx?SID=0FA4B9A5211A43C5942E10B0C1708529 I would state that if the breeder will be paying for this service then tthat will ensure your pets safety more; however no one will know for sure. Good Luck.

Whats the cheapest place to go out of the US? And best value for entertainment

Whats the cheapest place to go out of the US? And best value for entertainment?
One person said Amsterdam because the flights are cheap and its all about partying there. A couple told me Toronto because we can drive and its a good time. It will be about 4 of us in our mid 20's. Were all about a good time and spending about average money. Im coming out of Baltimore (flight costs) Any advice??

Amsterdam could be good for partying, but being in europe things arent very cheap once you're over there!! I'm not sure what the flights are like coming from your neck of the woods, but i deffinately know that countries in south east asia are VERY cheap to party in!! Deffinately check out Thailand, if you want a massive party, look at going to a Full Moon party on the beach on the island of Koh Phangan, just near Koh Samui. Accomodation is pretty cheap too depending on what sort of class you want to stay in... hostels can be from US$10 a night, but if there's a group of you, you could get a pretty decent hotel for US$30. Drinks are cheap too, most are a few dollars. If you'd rather party in a city than at the beach, head for Bangkok- Khao San Rd is party central! Plenty of fun to be had... specially if your a group of guys!!! If you want any advice on South East Asia at all feel free to ask!
